College of Health and Human Sciences Dean

Welcome to the College of Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University, where we are dedicated to improving the lives, health, and environment of individuals, families, and communities in Oregon and beyond. In 2001, the College of Health and Human Sciences brought together five departments and one Extension program in a bold move to become a pioneering discipline that addresses the human problems of the 21st century. The new structure of the College provides commitment for interdisciplinary research, teaching and outreach. The theme “Taking Care of Life” gives energy and a broader context to our mission and the important work we do. Together we are Taking Care of Life by addressing the biological, physical, social and emotional needs of individuals across the lifespan. I am very proud to be the first Dean of this new and exciting College.

Enjoy our website and learn about all the exciting things our students and faculty members are doing! We publish our College newsletter, Synergies, three times a year to bring you up to date on research and outreach activities of our students and faculty. If you come to campus, be sure to drop by my office in the beautiful Women's Building!
