PAC Instructor Guidebook
This Guidebook is a description of the policies and procedures of the Physical Activity Class (PAC) Program at Oregon State University. In addition it provides suggestions for effective instruction and is intended to serve as a guide to all instructors in the Program. It defines responsibilities towards the program and new instructors are required to read and follow the policies and procedures outlined within.
The hardcopy Guidebook was originally written by Ann Asbell, PAC coordinator, and compiled by Cheryll Alex, PAC secretary, in September, 1996. Content contributions were written by PAC faculty: Cathy Dark, Astrid Hancock, John Maddalozzo and Carol Soleau. Policies from previous manuals and guidelines written by Bill Winkler, coordinator 1982-94, are also acknowledged. Revisions and additions have occurred periodically. Carrie Stampe, former PAC secretary, is responsible for the 2004 Web design format. Credit is also given to Dr. Jon Poole, Virginia Tech University, and Margaret Pentecost, PAC coordinator, University of Louisville.
