Human behavior in the near environment focuses on the social, psychological or socio-psychological aspects of clothing and textiles. Social interaction between the individual and clothing is a primary component. To pursue graduate level study in human behavior in the near environment with a focus on clothing one needs a basic background in psychology and sociology in addition to basic textiles.
