I provide social demographic analyses to various state and regional audiences while emphasizing their implications for community development, teach various audiences how to access and use demographic data, as well as identify and communicate the demographic trends facing different communities across Oregon particularly rural Oregon.
While I plan to explore the many social demographic topics of relevance to Oregonians all across the state I am particularly interested in poverty, stratification by race, class, and gender, labor, community development, community-based research, applied demography, migration, and housing to name a few.

Personal Interests

I am an avid horse back rider. I have been riding for 18 years with an emphasis on jumping (hunters and jumpers) but am now training in Dressage as well, with the hope of becoming an Eventer with a special horse partner sometime soon!
