ECLD Application Questions

Please carefully complete a brief (2-3 pages) narrative response to the following questions using your computer. Make sure to save a copy for your records. Aim for complete but succinct responses, and include specific examples.

 

1. Describe your current position and organization and your interests, knowledge, skills, and experiences as they relate to health, mental health, human services, and education for young children birth to eight years of age and their families in rural communities in Oregon.

 

2. Describe why you want to improve your leadership qualities and skills. Include your professional and personal goals and indicate their connection to improving collaborative health, mental health services, and education for young children and their families.

 

3. Describe how you will you use the knowledge and skills gained through ECLD program participation to benefit

  • the children and families served by your program and agency
  • your employing agency and staff
  • your community.

 

4. List and briefly describe 2-3 desired outcomes that you hope to achieve from your experience with Early Childhood Leadership Directions. If applying as part of a team, include 2-3 desired team outcomes.
