Application Process
Applying to the Human Development and Family Sciences Graduate Program
involves 2 steps.
1. You must complete the application to Oregon
State University. This application includes:
- Your contact information
- Transcripts
- GRE scores - Institution code: 4586
- Department code: 4602
- A Statement of your Professional Interests
- Payment of the processing fee.
- TOEFL scores (if you are an international applicant).
2. You must complete the Human Development and Family Sciences Graduate Program Supplemental Form. This link includes:
- Forms to accompany your 3 letters of recommendation
- List of your research experiences
- List of the faculty with whom you would like to work
- List of assistantships you are interested in
- ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED HDFS. SEND ONE COPY TO THE OSU OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS AND ONE COPY TO THE HDFS DEPARTMENT DIRECTLY.

Application Deadlines
- January 15 - is the deadline for priority consideration for assistantships.
- Strong students are admitted after the January 15 deadline until April 15, but assistantship offers are not typically made for students who missed the January 15 deadline
