Supporting new leaders to guide teams, staff, and organizations to foster community change.

Systems Thinking

  • Apply systems thinking to unravel complex issues and lead change.
  • Apply knowledge of the change cycle to plan successful, systematic change efforts.
  • Use trend data and evidence-based practice to plan and implement collaborative agency and interagency initiatives.

Program Development

  • Develop outcome statements to plan and guide program activities and evaluate results.
  • Create and use a logic model to guide program development.
  • Use strategic planning and financial management to determine direction for a program.

Staff and Organizational Leadership

  • Employ recruitment and retention procedures consistent with a relationship-based organization.
  • Provide staff development opportunities that incorporate research-based adult learning principles.
  • Strengthen capacity to build a competent, motivated staff through effective supervision.
