Academic Advisor

This is a 12 month, fixed-term position, 9 months at 1.0 FTE (Academic Year) and 3 months at .8 FTE (Summer Term). Responsibilities: Advise undergraduate students in the College of Health and Human Sciences regarding educational/career goals. Advising includes course scheduling, University/College requirements, and participation in recruitment/retention/orientation events. Required qualifications include BA/BS (preference given to applicants with HHS degree), excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, and ability to prioritize duties and navigate in a fast paced environment. Preferred qualifications include Masters degree and 1-2 years experience in a college student services setting or with college-bound students.
