Graduate Programs

Oregon State University’s doctoral program in Exercise & Sport Science was ranked 8th in the country by the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education. The Academy use indicators such as faculty productivity (publication of research papers, research presentations, etc.), external funding, and student quality in making its rankings.

 

The Department of Nutrition & Exercise Sciences offers graduate programs in the theoretical and practical study of human nutrition and physical activity (including exercise and sport) for the promotion of optimal health and disease prevention.

Students interested in pursuing a P-12 Physical Education Teaching license along with the Master’s of Science degree should click on the “Physical Education Teacher Education link listed below under “Areas of Concentration” in Exercise and Sport Science.

Graduate Assistantships & Scholarships

Graduate assistantships are available in teaching and research to highly qualified candidates. Graduate assistantship support ranges from $9107- 19,833 based on assignment (and also includes a waiver of graduate tuition).
