- Psychosocial dimensions of public health
- Special issues and problems in public health
- Public health management/administration.
A designated list of courses that may satisfy these areas will be provided by your advisor. In addition, each student must complete a minimum of one core course in statistics (H 524 recommended) or an approved equivalent. Courses in Public Health Research Methods, Public Health Organization, and Epidemiology are also required or highly recommended in most programs. The particular courses elected to fulfill the core courses are determined by the student's academic advisor in consultation with the student and with the approval of the department chair. The graduate coordinator may also be consulted as questions arise.
