Rachel Brinker worked on the “Inventory and Summarization of Innovative Electronic Programs that Provide Education about Hunger and Food Insecurity” project as an Apprentice, supervised by Senior Instructor Anne Hoisington from the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences.

Rachel Haefling worked on a collaborative multi-department team lead by Dr. Rebecca Donatelle (Public Health), Dr. Melinda Manore (Nutrition and Exercise Sciences) and Dr. Alexis Walker (Human Development and Family Sciences), as an Apprentice on the “PROMIS: The Preventing Metabolic Syndrome” project

Heather Hodnett served as an Apprentice under Dr. Urszula Iwaniec studying the Potential Beneficial Effects of Hops on Bone Health in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences.

Emily Nicole Jansen worked with Dr. Maret Traber as a Researcher to study “Cisplatin Induces Neuropathy and Vitamin E Deficiency.

Natalie Johnson served as an Apprentice to Dr. Michael Levenson, from the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences, on a project entitled “Wisdom and Successful Aging.”

Courtney Lovemark served as a Researcher on Dr. Christine Snow and Dr. Kathy Gunter, faculty members in the Nutrition and Exercise Sciences Department, on the “Building Growing Skeletons in Youth (BUGSY): A Longitudinal Study Examining the Effects on Bone Development in Children” project.

Philip Menagh worked as a Researcher under Dr. Russ Turner, from the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science. They are studying “Alcohol Impaired Bone Healing.”

Katy Mills worked as an Apprentice with Assistant Professor Minjeong Kim in the Department if Design and Human Environments to sudy Rural Retailing.

Laura Norton worked as an Apprentice with Dr. Leslie Burns and Associate Professor Carol Caughey, faculty members of the Department of Design and Human Environments to study Perceptions of Learning Environments.

Kristin Palmer worked on a collaborative multi-department team lead by Dr Rebecca Donatelle (Public Health), Dr. Melinda Manore (Nutrition and Exercise Sciences) and Dr. Alexis Walker (Human Development and Family Sciences), as an Apprentice on the “PROMIS: The Preventing Metabolic Syndrome” project

Felicity Powell worked with Dr. Brad Cardinal, who is a faculty member in the Nutrition and Exercise Sciences Department, on a project focusing on International Research Presented at AAHPERD National Conventions from 1965 to 2007.

Nicole Santorno worked with Dr. Gianni Maddalozzo, from the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences on a project entitled “Comparison of Standard Physical Therapy with a Standard Plus Vibration Platform Intervention to Accelerate Post Hip Fracture Healing in the Elderly”.

Trent Tam Sing worked as an Apprentice with Dr. Michael Pavol in the Nutrition and Exercise Sciences Department to study the “Biomechanics of Transfers on Aircrafts.”
