Welcome to the Pre-Therapy and Allied Health Club at Oregon State!
The purpose of this club is for the students to share information and assist each other with applying for and getting accepted into Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy professional programs, as well as Nursing and PA programs. We also organize fund-raising events, special speakers, and participate in community events on campus and in the Corvallis area.
Our mission statement
To strive to be the premiere club on the OSU campus for individuals interested in an allied health profession. It was organized to allow fellow students an opportunity to learn about the allied health profession, volunteer in the community, and raise awareness for individuals with disabilities. The OSU Pre-Therapy & Allied Health Club has identified the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic as its Charity of Interest. Through the annual Wheel-A-Thon, we have been able to raise awareness of and financial assistance for those with disabilities related to Multiple Sclerosis. We provide opportunities for students to network with other pre-professional health students and health professionals in the Mid-Willamette Valley including attending workshops and guest lectures. Club members can participate in a mock-interview with professionals from the health profession to foster confidence in the graduate school application process. Moreover, the Pre-Therapy & Allied Health Club will provide avenues for health professionals who are searching for volunteers/paid employment opportunities to contact students with similar experiential needs.
