OSU Gerontology Students Association (GSA)
Because the study of aging is a multi-disciplinary field, this student group is open to all undergraduates and graduates from any OSU college who are interested in pursuing opportunities and education in gerontology.
The purposes of this association are to promote scholarship, professional development, friendship and services to older persons. In addition, the organization recognizes exemplary attainment in the pursuit of academic excellence and professionalism in gerontology through OSU's chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, the national honor society in gerontology.
The OSUGSA holds monthly meetings with opportunities to hear invited speakers on topics of interest, as well as to socialize and network with other students interested in gerontology. In addition, the group conducts community service and outreach activities targeted to benefit the lives of older adults.
For more information about OSUGSAs next monthly meeting or other scheduled event, please contact Bethany Chamberlin at chamberb@onid.orst.edu
