Fall Term 2008

The trip is for an entire quarter at Fu Jen University in Taipei and will count for 16 credits of required HDFS coursework. The cost is approximately the same as staying on campus for a quarter, with the addition of airfare. Two HDFS faculty/staff will be in residence at Fu Jen University, with the students; however, classes will be Tues, Wed and Thurs so there will be ample free time for independent travel. Hong Kong Fashion Week Study Tour
July 5-12, 2008

Travel with a small group to attend the Hong Kong Fashion Week event including live fashion shows, seminars, designers'' contests, latest fabrics and future trends. You'll stay in a four star hotel, enjoy an orientation tour and have time to visit other notable markets, museums and sites.

Spain, Germany, or Holland: Available all terms

This exciting opportunity allows undergraduate or graduate students to study in Spain, Germany, or Holland. In your semester abroad you will have to opportunity to immerse yourself into a new culture, learn the language of that culture and understand the challenges that culture faces with an aging population. Students will take courses about aging and health in the host country. These courses can be used toward a gerontology certificate or gerontology minor at Oregon State University. Australia

Study Exercise and Sport Science for a semester in Finland or Australia. Programs for students majoring in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences with an option in Exercise Sciences. Collaborative programs between Oregon State Universtiy College of Health and Human Sciences Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences and University of Jyvskyl in Finland or University of Sydney, Australia.
